Yakima, Washington
Sixteen members of the team traveled to Yakima, Washington to compete in the prestigious Sunfair Invitational against some of the best teams in the Northwest.
Everyone ran very well and showed that they will be a team ready to defend their City, District and State meet Championships in the next 4 weeks.
The unique Sunfair races had each member of the team run by themselves in a multi flight format. The Girls finished 10th overall and 7th among Large Schools, the Boys were 3rd Overall and among the Large Schools.

Caley Featherstone returned to form finishing 9th in 22:35 in the Sophomore Girls Only race.
Joe Sandoval ran through very painful shin splints in the Senior Boys Only placed 8th in 18:07.
Varsity Flight 1, Shay Woodhouse also running through shin splints placed 13th in 22:04
Richard Wojan placed 4th in a personal record 17:45.
Varsity Flight 2 - Ever improving Jeannie Castell placed 21st in 22:24
Christian Kincaid nursing a painful Achilles tendon ran a brave 20th in 18:10.
Varsity Flight 3 - Senior Amanda Mosher did a very good job in finishing 16th in 21:37
Kenton Freemuth ran a steady race placing 14th in 17:36.
Varsity Flight 4 - Continuing to improve was Evan Gustavsen finishing 15th in 20:54,
Taylor Molenaar nearly breaking through ran 6th in 17:06.
Varsity Flight 5 - Returning after a long injury layoff Sarah Olson ran an excellent race finishing 2nd in 19:37
Max Hardy showed what he is capable if also finishing 2nd in 16:43.
Varsity Flight 6 - Liz Ryan is still discovering how good she really is finished 10th in 19:59,
once again running a very solid effort Greg Montgomery placed 3rd in 16:20.
Varsity Flight 7 - Running in the premier race of the day Kate Jamboretz placed 12th 19:24,
competing very well against some of the best runners in the Northwest Eric Fitzpatrick placed 4th in the excellent time of 15:34.
Next meet for the entire team is the Boise City meet on Thursday October 16th in Ann Morrison Park.
